Yes, if the switch won't lock into the second position, then it's broken and will need to be replaced.

MB W209 combination switch

Thank you for the reply. Allow me to ask: I noted 2 other parts in the steering column that eventually could prevent the turn signal of holding down: the clock spring contact or the steering angle sensor. Is this possible?

No, they are unrelated to the combination switch. The clockspring and steering angle sensor are int he same unit and they are "above" the combination switch.

It's for the hydraulic pump on the clutch of the manual transmission.

Wrong forum & wrong thread. W209 external lights do not have fuses.

Your W208 has fuse box N7/1 for the external lights. For LHD models, fuse f4 (15A) protects reverse lamp and turn signal lamp, so if both have not failed it is not your fuse here. Maybe it is the reverse switch, located (I think) on the shifter module.

trying to locate the secondary air injector pump relay on a 2008 C350. just changed the air injector pump (easy) but trying to locate where the relay module is (front under hood) is proving to be ridiculously impossible. AND i do not have any paperwork, booklet or info anywhere in my car trunk or manual. please someone provide me a pic!

Here's a fuse diagram:

Benzbits: W203 Fuses

The air pump is fuse #65 , which is on the fuse panel under the hood. It's located on the driver's side, right under the hood lift strut.

CLK430 is a W208 - try that forum as those guys will likely have better info.

Hi,
after changing my rear sam, nothing happened.
Now I recognized that there is a prefusebox in my W209.
One side is easy to opeb, but the other side is jamming...
Does anyone know how to open this box tho change the defect fuse?
THANKS

If you have blown the rear SAM prefuse you must have had a big problem, as it is rated at 200A. I would disconnect the battery before working here.

I haven't accessed these fuses yet on my car, but I took a quick look there today. The front plastic cover of Fusebox 34 is held in place by 2 clips, but when that cover is removed it does not show the fuses. I can see some identical clips on the rear side which I assume are holding the rear cover in place. You have to depress the top of the clip to make it release.

Before changing fuse f2, I would use a testmeter to check that it has definitely blown. I think that it is a 'cartridge' type, which a typical auto spares shop will not stock.

Just noticed...

On the fuse assignments above for fusebox F34, fuse f28 is shown as a Spare.

However, the circuit diagram for the Soft Top control module (N52) used only on the cabrio, indicates that this fuse f28 (20A) is used to protect both:

1) Left Rollover module deployment solenoid (Y57/2)
2) Right Rollover module deployment solenoid (Y57/3)

Also, this circuit diagram also shows the Soft Top mechanism hydraulic unit (A7/5) is fused at local terminal X4/37 by a 40A fuse, which is in series with prefuse f2 (200A).
