You all seem to be a bunch that enjoys seeing nicely prepared 107s. Here's my contribution to the disorder for your review.

I own the green 5.0 while the brown 500 is owned by a friend of mine. The 500 is #2769 - the last 500 SLC produced. The pictures were taken on Mt. Wilson road off of the Angeles Crest Highway in southern California.

Wow. Were those completely custom or did they start life as bumpers from something else?

I notice that you, too like the old-school "orthopedic" headrests. I have them in the 380 and I'm looking for a set for the 560.

When I get my taxes done. That's the agreement with swmbo. I can't even work on the 73 until I get the taxes done. It is too complicated to explain why they aren't done yet... Perhaps I like doing just about everything more than taxes. I will stay up all night to get taxes done and instead do a project for my job and post a couple dozen posts on some online forum instead. Priories are all screwed up.

There are rails visible that run the length of the rocker panels that are clearly visible for the side of the car, but I did post one picture of this rail in the other "SLC Convertible?" thred in the most recent posts in that thread. (page 19?). I don't know SLCs but there appear to be some reinforcement under the rear seat too.

And apparently it is one of a kind of two:

Steve/Stephen Register apparently created two of these. The owner I purchased from told me that Steve had two of these for sale and he chose this one for its lower mileage, which I am guessing was probably around 70k miles, but I don't know. I think he may have said 40k miles. However, the maintenance records show about 95,000 miles in about 1993, which was about seven years after the purchase. The oil was last changed in 1994 which was about 1500 miles ago. (The transmission had a major service in 1993 too.) so the mileage remains a mystery and always will be with an import.

Since the article above was from September 1985, I wonder if the PO saw the article and decided to go up to Atlanta to buy the car. He bought it for his wife's 40th birthday, and said he paid $30,000. Title shows the firs title date in 1986 for this owner.
