I'm setting up this thread for members to post their W126 related parts for sale. Many of you have said you'd like to have a sticky where you can post items for sale, so here it is:) This thread could be used to post your item(s) and/or links to where you can purchase it (i.e. eBay, website).

To make this thread organized, there will be a few easy rules to follow. Please take the time to read them.

  1. Item must be W126 related (it could be a part or an entire car). All other items should be posted in the For Sale section of the website.
  2. Price and location MUST be in the post. A post with no information will not be allowed. People like to know where the item or car is and not have to guess as to what you want.
  3. When item is sold, post / add the information to your original post by using 'quote.'
Do not make a new post stating its sold as it will cause confusion.
Simply edit the original post and it would make it much easier.
  4. Contact the seller either by PM (Private Message) or email(if the seller chooses to post it in the ad.
Do not post here that you are interested.

Here is an example of what a sales ad should be like:

Item description (Picture can be inserted here as well)
Price: $ your price
Location: Country/State
If you are posting a link to your item to an auction(i.e. eBay), here's how the post can look:
Auction link
End date/time of auction
Posts that don't meet the criteria will be edited or removed.

Look at this post to figure out which rear suspension you have.

Understand that I do not know for certain which bar is being sold, so ignore any text that says something like "this is the bar for you".

The bar being offered fits the suspension shown as "correct."
John, I did get under the car and looked at what I have. Thanks for the link to the post that explains the difference. I do NOT have the flat bar on my 81 300 SD therefore I can benefit from this 19mm bar.

However, the seller list it as pick up only no shipping and I am in California so this will not be possible. Any leads to this upgraded rear bar? Thanks

Free to a good home
Trunk deck, 88 560 with new badges, no spoiler, aluminum, perfect condition, a set of 88 side skirts, great condition, gray, set of 85 fluted side skirts, rear bumper cover, euro type, gray, green dist wire, one end missing but wire not cracked, one set of intake gaskets, new. These are what is left of my parts. Person has to pick up in the Detroit Metro area, will not ship. Too bad the person that purchased my car totaled it. Whomever bought that got a lot of pristine parts!

For Sale - Rare Gen1 AMG rear differential. This was an important component for AMG to make the cars faster than stock. This rear gear has 2.82 gear ratio. I pulled this from a 1983 500SE Euro AMG. Most Factory US cars had 2.47 rear gear. AMG offered 2.65 and 2.82 options. Car may not do 150mph but will get to 100 much quicker. Not for everyone but AMG fans know the benifits. Contact me for more photos etc. This is a positraction rear end. Prefer local pick-up but will ship at buyers expense. This is located in Edmonds, WA (north Seattle). USA
$800
Thanks for looking! Mike

I imagine it'll be screaming on the highway doing 80 at that ratio? Positraction is interesting. My current diff is not limited slip and with my 1st gear start it loves to spin some wheel from a dead stop.

2.82 is not that bad. My 450slc 5.0 cars have 2.72 (one is limited slip). And 450sl cars came with a 3.06 or 3.07. And all that is way lower than the 6 and smaller ratios. Heck, the 3.5 v8 cars with no OD came with a 3.46 which seems to be a preferred ratio for a sporty OD setup. So the thing that keeps me from being interested in the diff above that is for sale is that it is actually too low. I am trying to get my plans together for what diffs I want to put in what cars now. Trying to make some decisions. It doesn’t help that I’ve got no 2.82 clusters to go with the 2.82 that’s for sale. I think more about putting a gen2 diff in my 500se AMG to replace the 2.24 with a 2.47 LSD from a 560sl. I’ve got an open 2.47 and cluster from my 380se euro I parted out. So that would be easy with a little performance enhancement too:

My original diff was quite low (do not recall the ratio) giving me low rpm's on the highway. After the rear-ending debacle, the replacement diff had a higher ratio and the rpm increase on the highway is noticeable. It's caused absolute chaos with my gauge cluster. Years later and I STILL do not have one that works right! Two different rebuilders had it for months and then just never performed the work. The last guy rebuilt it, but it had numerous problems. It was rebuilt, yet again, and is currently being tested. So for years I have had the wrong cluster in my car, keeping track of everything with my phone's GPS.

Everything is like pulling teeth from a live, awake Tiger.

Down the road, if I have the funny money, I would love to swap in a limited slip diff, plus the 5 speed trans from a w140. Now that would be unique and cool. Better fuel economy and performance, for a heft price tag.
