Greets.

Sorry for the Lousy Photos... took the photo's in my Wife's Garage, so not as good lighting.. and YES! I know, my engine is filthy dirty... I've just been sooooo frustrated with the car, I've "Fallen out of love" temporarily.

You can get the point, though....

It is truly a 2 minute job... and THEEEEEEEE best 2 minutes I've ever spent in my automotive life! Now a PERFECTLY smooth running engine.

I'm a happy camper.

I would STRONGLY advise doing the procedure after the car has been sitting OVERNIGHT, so there will be as little residual fuel pressure, as possible, remaining in the fuel rail.

There are TWO, one on each side of the rear of the engine.

Sorry I didn't take pics of me exchanging for the new mounts... but there are TWO PIECES to the Mount.

You have to use your imagination here.... Look at the third to last photo (with the screwdriver). You see the Mount. On the BOTTOM half, there is the "Rubber" portion. Well, that "rubber" part is exactly that... a piece of Rubber, with Screws going out of EACH END.

One end screws into the Engine block, while on the OTHER end, there is a "HEX-Shaped" Cap which screws onto the Top of the rubber mount.

If yours is completely MISSING, then you need to order BOTH pieces.

Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Jewelry

The Rolex does not impress me, but the really smart DIYer would remove all jewelry before working on any car, right????? :wink

Looking on autohausaz . com, they give the same Bosch part number for a 92 500SEL fuel pressure regulator as for my 1997 S600. With a new one available for $60, I would recommend just buying new.

It would seem to make a lot of sense from a design and manufacturing point of view to have all of your engines have the same fuel pressure specifications, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are all the same.
