Well Hello I'm back i haven't touched the car in a while because of school but now i have an opening to work on my car. i ordered a tranny conductor plate and a circular connector hopefully to fix the limp mode and the jerking from neutral or park to reverse or drive after that ill stop at the shop to delete the codes.

But lately i looked up the p1747 and it could be one of two things and I'm so confused. Its either "Pressure Control Solenoid 'A' short circuit." or "Defective Interaction of CAN with control unit A1(instrument cluster)" so i need some help to shed some light on my situation. Even if i bought the wrong parts i see that these go out due to wear and they weren't that much so I'm not going to stress on it.

If anyone wants pictures I'm more than happy to post some

It is 4 in the morning California time-could not sleep :(

All tranny codes on OBDII will be in the 700's!! for any Mercedes with 722.6...

So, you may have a issue with a blown fuse, cluster or shifter. Take a look at this link-it is crazy...

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r129-sl-class/1717724-trouble-code-p1747.html

What may be apparent is the speed data from the Transmission Control Module to the instrument cluster may be lost. The picture of the wires with the goop does not look to sexy-there? The CAN bus data is lost-they are two paired wires twisted together on one of those blocks-that is the CAN bus. It is the two wires by them selves on the goopy connector block. You should be able to reset it with OBD tester... See drawing

Everything on these cars is CAN. You loose CAN you got no CAR-simple...

Hello.

I read somewhere about the same problem and it was the third brake stop light/lamp. I Think it worth to check.

You got to clean that module very very good...Need to open it up. Clean it with contact cleaner and blot it dry and repeat it about six times. Then blow it dry, and let it dry for a handful of hours..

See this this thread on post five:

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w210-e-class/1570724-my-attempt-replacing-transmission-plug.html

Also, on the circuit board of the module a electrolytic capacitor (round can looking large part) swells up, and starts to tilt, but this part is basically not fluid resistant, so it swells bad...It is easy for the average Joe to replace it with a soldering Iron..

Clean that sucker up...
