Edit: 1/20/2020. Due to the site downgrade last year some of the links may be broken or pictures missing. Graham and member andya have put together the information off Benzworld and may still have copies.

Change your fuses! Originals are aluminum and they tend to corrode and cause bad connections. Brass or copper tipped fuses are available from many sources.

There may be other sources, but these two mainly VW vendors appear to sell brass type ceramic fuses:

Canada:

USA: Mofoco Volkswagen Ceramic Fuses

Many of us have been frustrated looking for a Fuse Layout chart for our 107s. There are some scattered through the forum. This is an attempt to put them all in one place and to gather more from our members.

The fuse layout cards have part numbers of the form 107 545 xx 00. Some may still be available from the Classic Centre.

Pictures of each card will follow in posts below. You can jump to post for your car by clicking on the links below.

If anyone has fuse card pics of the missing cars, please post them - Probably best in the other thread titled FUSE CHART - FUSE CHART

There are similar numbers for the marker strips that fit under the fuses. Not to be addressed here, but numbers also have format 107545xx00. Perhaps they were supplied as matched sets?

Posting a copy here of scb71's 1985 280SL German fuse card # 1075452700

Anyone with is car can do the translation. Easy enough to do. For example using just Google, 17 & 18 are right and left high beams. 19 and 20 are right and left low beams.

the images link need a bit of a trim.

right click on image place holder and then "copy link"

Now delete:

Code:
https://www.benzworld.org/cdn-cgi/image/format=auto,onerror=redirect,width=1920,height=1920,fit=scale-down/
up until the first "http..." and voila

now cleanup "?dl=1" from the trailing end and the image comes full size

This will make them downloadable or displayable on your screen but forum cannot insert the image in line for some reason

djenka - that dl=1 eliminates that popup that wants you to sign up for Dropbox. If you left the link as-is, it should download to your download file where you can view it.

In any event, we should soon have a good solution for the fuse compendium. Have an expert working on it :)

Those links are from my Dropbox. They worked before the platform downgrade. I could fix the links here, but we are not able to edit even our own posts. As mentioned, I will fix all this and have it hosted on another site. Then just put a link here and maybe Peachparts as a backup.

Seems we cannot rely on the forum owners to fix our forum and we can't do it ourselves. Kind of discouraging. EGV107 is not what it was. Almost needs to be rebuilt from scratch. But can anyone do that?

Just a reminder, that you can check in post #1 of this thread to see if your fuse chart has already been posted. By all means post yours if you have a better copy. Include the fuse chart part number that is at the bottom of the chart. All charts with same number should be indentical.

I have continued to add new links in post #1, but we now have a lot of duplicates for 380/560SLs!
