Really frustrated now, all the dealer can come up with is the hose with the "U" bend at one end and is longer than what I needed.

The one with less bend is the correct part but seems like I just can't get a MB part anywhere.

Please see pictures attached and help me out on this one. Thanks.

Give me your VIN, I'll get the correct part# for you.

Should be what I posted above.

The part with the curved fitting is 124-470-8075

You need 124-470-0575, how hard can it be? Did you give them the number I posted?

Look what I found, typical parts morons, I'm sure they ignored the footnote

You need a separate bracket 124-470-1581 to use the later hose,
it's a small plastic clip to hold the newer hose in position

Instead of the hose going straight to the filter like the first image, it goes
over the top curves around underneath and comes up to the fitting.

See second image

Clip mentioned above that secures the hose, a zip tie will work temporaraly

So it appears the hose has been superseded, that why the dealer is giving you the late version.

Also why Autohaus AZ has the late Mercedes OE hose and only the CRP early version

Only $37 for Mercedes hose. Turned out to be a good thread for members needing a hose for early 124's

Thanks a lot, Clarkz71, the dealer found the earlier version, but it cost 100 dollars, and I need the car to be up and running, so I have to bite the bullet and get the one from the dealer today instead of waiting for the delivery from autohausaz. Really appreciated your help.
