Amperage on a R107 - A/C System Improvement

Hi Everyone, I am looking for information on a 75 AMP alternator for a 1980 450 SL. I believe the car (on my SL) technically requires only 55 AMPS - the SLC (not mine) requires 75 AMPS. I am going to put a 55 AMP alternator on it to stay with the way the car was built. I am a purist. But I want to add a vintage Blaupunkt radio and an air pump to add to my system. The air pump for the rear pneumatic system is a 1986 420 SEL pump. I will wire it to use one of the channels on my Blaupunkt amplifier (kind of like pneumatic hydraulic lifts on Carlos Santanna's low riders in California). Again, I am a purist, so all of the ambient electrical wiring has to reflect the original system calculations for the fuse box so as to not blow electrical parts. Blowing an ECU or a TCU is expensive. Ugh! Thus, I have to do the mathematical calculations on the draw for an amplifier for my Blaupunkt radio off of the 12V H8 battery. I also want to add an air pump from 1986 and a check valve in the front of the car for the constancy of air security for my gas tank locking system. Based on my experience, the door actuator system for the VDO locking system on the driver's side, the door actuator (based on an alloy metal VDO actuator from 1973) is better than all of the newer VDO systems - that is my personal opinion - not to upset the Gods of VDO and strange Voodoo in the air. In the newer models actuators, it is not as strict as the old alloy door actuator. The old 1973 alloy door actuator doubles the newton meters of force on the passenger side because their is no hole in the bottom of the actuator. I did the calculations and rebuilt my Bomoro locking system with the pneumatic effect based on the amount of pneumatic air & NM required to make the full extension (move up and down) of the door locking system's armature through a full cycle of an extension down - all to make the little popping sound work right when the door is open and closed (the popping sound, I believe, now seen in new Ford explorer's was Mr. Bomoro's invention via Mercedes, I believe...). I am still working on the perfection of the entire movement of the armature for a full cycle with "pop" included, but I have it figured out (or a snap whichever you prefer). In any event, does anyone know how to put on an air pump, and, if an alternator is used that is 75 AMPS instead of 55 AMPS,(for a 10 amp radio which I think only technically draws 2.5 amps from the channel 1 on the Blaupunkt amp), does the 1980 450 SL (or the like) enjoy the privilege of higher amps to fully assist and manage the draw on an A/C system? Does it improve the A/C's performance in the car? In other words, does a higher amping alternator result in relieving any electrical stress on the A/C system? Has anyone found any success stories for a restored system using larger output in amps for an a/c system on the SL system or even an SEL? Such as better mathematical performance for the attenuation of electrical conductivity? Please see below for an aeronautical engineered improvement online. MBDiesel1.com = coco_4449@yahoo.com

With all respect, you need to break this all down into chewable pieces. If I don't understand it, I'm willing to bet know one else does. So far what I'm getting is you are a purest so you don't want to change the alternator from its original form, yet you want to modify the suspension to make it into a low rider or something. There is nothing pure about that. Considering you should be able to upgrade the alternator with a rebuilt probably using the same housing what is the issue with performing such an upgrade.

I put a 560 (mo' amps) alternator into a 380 with a few changes to the wiring harness. or you could just buy a 560 wiring harness.

I may even HAVE a (polished/chromed pulley) 560 alternator with new regulator around here.

I love old people, truly. But, breaking down the aeronautical engineering I provided to you (such as an aluminum casing - suggests that you overlooked the value of my post) - to give you as much skippy knowledge as I have learned (i.e. the Merridith effect for a 1940s P51 supercharger, PV class) - for free, I might add - may be what I was trying to communicate. Take the entire paragraph out, my brain dump, and parse it out. Just so I can make you live to 117 or 116 (which ever you prefer) to help you understand that once a Mercedes is refined, it will produce a profit in your life. LOL. Love ya, brothers! Please prepare for termination of Bosch for long lasting Mercedes due to ill equipped younger adults not wanting to prove the first law of thermo-dynamics and the 3 bars of pressure in a radiator fluid system at a 322 degree flash point. Genesis 3:22 and Ecclesiastes 3:22. Touche! For the coup de gras! In any event, lol.

"The Meredith effect is a phenomenon whereby the aerodynamic drag produced by a cooling radiator may be offset by careful design of the cooling duct such that useful thrust is produced by the expansion of the hot air in the duct. The effect was discovered in the 1930s and became more important as the speeds of piston-engined aircraft increased over the next decade."

Well. Time to proof E=MC2 to you. Okey dokey? Real mature. LOL. I took engineering calculus in college. Sounds great. How about this. LOL. No salt really intended. Your wife eyes say yes to every man she walks by? Hmmmm? E-yes, yes, Mrs. Beulah Ballbraker, yes, I love it. Ok? I like it. Leve me alone! LOL!

This gets better and better!, bad translation?, or ChatGP gone horribly wrong?

Sorry Fritz, if you really are a real live person, and a Mercedes owner your word salads aren't making any real sense, try harder.

OK. Try spelling Meridith effect. It is just a super charger. It is an aeronautical phenomena. Not a big deal. it was just something to pass on to people - free of charge. No fee. All good intentions. Not a bid deal. Socratic thinking is not that great. No one gets sacrificed. Ptolemy was a pretty good guy. Go Union Carbide and Bethlehem Steel! I got it. 3M is right around the corner for your scotch brite comment. I love it. So nice! Please put your resume in.

Ok. Finally. Someone criticized me the right way. Gawde. Nobby. I knew you were intelligent, but I have followed you for the past 5 years. At least someone has a brain. All hail Nobby! LOL! Love ya, brothers! Ya... your kind neat people. Love you more than you. Nothing but good things to say about you. You all have helped me more than you know. Really decent people. Okey dokey? You all are one cool bean chip.
