hey all need help with xentry. Long story short i replaced navi on ML x164 '07 and only way to set clock on that car is through navi. next year model allows setting clock through IC. So twice a year with DST i need to change clock :( but i cant so ai always have wrong time :((
My idea it to figure out how to do that with xentry. Well also maybe figire out how to set DST to new standard (for US)

Any ideas? Or maybe recommendations to forum that deals with DAS/Xentry?
tnx

I have the same question, but no answer. I heard the xentry codes can be set to show no navigation, which will then add an option to reset the clock yourself via the instrument cluster. Not sure if that would mess up anything else.

- In the meantime, I suggest a workaround I just figured out last year...

When you want to reset the clock, go out to the car a few minutes before noon (or midnight).
  • Pull the fuse* for the instrument cluster about a minute before 12:00;
  • about 30-45 seconds before 12:00, put the fuse back in. The clock will re-set itself to 12:00 when the power is restored - the analog clock arms will spin around wildly, and about 30-45 seconds later, the clock will be set to 12:00.

I figure this is not too hard to do twice a year; if I can actually remember to go to the car at the precise time :).

(*the fuse is located on the right end of the dash near the passenger side - I think you have to open the door of the car to access the panel).

i can check if xentry has option to remove navi and see what happens, my guess its variation coding not sure in navi or IC section though. In ic i don't remember such option will check for navi
going to car at noon and making sure u do things art exact seconds seams more harder to me then flashing all firmware in the car :))

So, I finally found the post I saw before. Over on the thread about people replacing their head unit with the AVIN, someone has this for more precise instructions ....
"To get the clock to work, you will need to have the ICM (instrument cluster)coded for "COMAND NOT PRESENT". This will enable a menu on the ICM to manually set the clock. "

This worked! yay! Though i had to refresh my German skills!
So i went to:
Engineering menu -> Control Unit Adaptations - > Menu Screen Display (in German)
1. Set Clock to manual, (well it was set to manual before in user profiles too so not fully sure if German settings are suppers other things)

Engineering menu -> Control Unit Adaptations - > All Variant Coding (in German)
2. In here set Navi and Phone to Not Present (note screen shot shows present, actual save saved is Nicht Vorhanden)

3. checked menu activation little further and #15 shows as clock settings

4. save everything and here we go i got clock menu that i can set date and time ! nice!

Very happy now! as i finally can use IC mechanical clock with android navi :)
As side affect now i have tow away alarm activated too (probably was default selection in variant coding some where)
@2007MLNNJ thanks for pointing out that that thing exist! my guess you are in NJ if you want i can code your car too this too

Now next question if here is way to set default screen to seep output as i really hate scrolling to see digital speed. Probably there should be priority setting some where to see what menu is default. I really hate seeing mileage on default screen.

Good to see that show up on the instrument cluster! (Sure beats pulling the fuse at noon every time we switch in and out of DST. )
That would be cool if you can set the default to the digital speed. I usually switch to that when I drive the ML on a road trip. The ML is not my primary car and I find it easier to keep track of the speed when the numbers are up there.
I am in North Jersey, and the ML is so quiet, I find the digital speed indicator helpful so I don't accidentally follow people doing "80 on i80" .

Olá, estou com problemas com esse problema de relógio há muito tempo. Não sei mais o que fazer. Fiz até o que você disse através de um Xentry chinês.. With it I managed to modify several parameters in my car but the clock issue is never the same in analog and digital
