The Remote key receiver is combined with radio receiver, located at driver side C pillar. Antenna is the metal line on rear window, sometimes the connector would be broken.

Thanks, just noticed that the radio receiver has some kind of attenuation, you probably right.



Just find a picture of the antenna amplifier, so, just need to remove the latteral cover to get access to it, in your case, it was beyond repair or new soldering points did the job ?

If your radio reception was poor, you should check fuse firstly, open driver's door, pull out the cover beside left dash, you will see a piece of paper which is fuse diagram.
BTW, your picture is for wagon w211, mine is sedan, but for this, no different.
