Tire Pressure

My wife has a new 2015 CLS 400, which I seldom drive. There is a sticker on the driver's side door frame which indicates that cold tire pressure (not maximum pressure) should be 36# front and 38# rear. This is how I have been maintaining the tires. Recently I noticed a sticker inside the gas cap door which indicates cold tire pressure should be 33# front and rear.
I asked my MB Service Advisor about the tire pressure discrepancy. He didn't sound too sure of himself and first said it depends on the brand of tires, than added that he would go with the gas cap door.
What should the correct tire pressure be for my wife's car? Are there supposed to be two different tire pressure stickers on the vehicle?
