Just bought this at auction, 1992 SL60, 6 litre AMG HAMMER V8, 87,000 km, all docs and maintenance records. anyone know the name of this color? Special Japanese ordered AMG, check out the VIN plate in Japanese. any info on this vehicle would be appreciated Thanks Brian

This is my SL500 from 1998 with 71000 km on the clock. It was complete original when i bought it in 2005. Then as time¨s gone by i've done some mods with new rims and other stuff.

This is my first post on this fantastic website. After spending the last 6 months learning from this forum I decided to look for Sl's and you cant imagine (well, you probably can) how pleased I am after finding the one with the right spec and year a month ago.
Best car I have owned by far and Im already thinking that it is going to be very difficult to have something better than this as cars are not longer built to last.

Here you can finally see some photos of my car!! I had it for a month and I have already made the changes I wanted including, suspension, front grill, wheels and side mirrors. I think that is all I will do to it but you never know...

Thanks all of you for pointing me in the right direction.

Still not sure about the AMG bodykit, I think there is something that does not look right with the actual shape of the car so I will probably leave as it is.

Finally managed to get round to taking some decent pics of my new baby. My kids have christened her SaLly and like all new fathers, I think she is perfect.

I'd just like to thank you all for keeping the excellent advice coming on the forum. It made my buying decision so much easier.

Here she is, a 99, 500 28k miles. Done nothing yet, might consider changing the wheels. I did get rid of the pointless cassette box and put in the glove box replacement thing.

I wish I know the part number but I don't. You can also replace the cassette holder with a compartment with two cup holders in it. That is what I have in my car, but it came ordered that way.

I got these Silver Arrow wheels this week, put my AMG Monoblocks on my E420. These have Michilin PS2's, I can definately feel the difference, incredibly smooth and grippy.
