So I am new to this site and needing help pleaseeee

My wife borrowed my car and was on a hill. She set the emergency brake. She later said these lights came on so she turned car off and they went away.

I drive to work fine afterwards and happened to drive to the local McDonald's (frappe) which was very close and the lights came on. I parked and turned car off n on and it went away. A little bit later they came on again.

The car feels fine though only drove it a very short distance. I don't struggle with power steering at all. I'm still at work but worried who driving home and if this is a small issue or a big issue coming.

Any help would be much appreciated. It's 2010 Mercedes c 300... I am a little behind on oil change so fluids could be low. Just weird it happened after emergency brake.

With the ABS warning up in the dash this would mean that you have no speed signal, we have had may wheel sensors fail in the UK. If the steering warning only comes up when the ABS warning is showing, this could be because with no speed signal the speed sensitive steering cannot operate

Another day passed and in the morning, a minute after leaving the parking while driving very calm, the lights and warnings turn on and the wheel turns hard.
Trying to reset by moving the wheel from full left to full right did not helped.
BTW, the battery is about 3 months old, and its voltage is OK. Also the alternator seems to charge it.
Drove all the way to the dealer without power steering.
Delear found error code is 4945 - indicating the ESP control unit itself.
Cost me the equivalent of around 1500$ (US).
My car is C300 2010 with 94000KM
Hope this info will help somebody.

What was outcome for Joseph7131

My C300 with only 25K miles just gave the same two messages --- Power Steering and Brakes. The car steers fine, but we are not using it until we can contact a service person.

What was the outcome Joseph7131? Did something need to be replaced/repaired/etc?

Thanks for anyone's advice.

Hi
I just experienced this problem in my Mercedes C200 2010
I had just completed a 2000 km journey from Sydney to Melbourne return, car behaved great all the way.
I remember hitting a speed bump just before arriving home.
The next morning I washed the car and took it for a drive to run the water off the car
As soon as I started driving the warning signs appeared. The Power steering was malfunctioning, the ABS was not working and the Tyre pressure was not working! Panic!! The power steering stopped working.
Cut to the chase. Over the next two days I tried to think why.
Starting the car was normal but as soon as I exceeded 20km the same warnings appeared
Booked the Auto Electrician. Then searching for answers I saw a U tube video ( can’t find it now)
Answer start the car and turn the steering wheel all the way left, then right. Repeat, and your problem should be solved. By doing that you reset the Steering wheel sensors.
Simple, save a lot of money
Why the problem appeared? Not sure it could have been the speed bump.
