Om642 oil leak from oil gallery

Hello
Does anyone have cases of oil leaking from here and what could be the cause,i am thinking high blow by maybe because its leaking oil on every seal

Hello. Your oil leak in that area is common for the oil cooler seals going bad. There is a drain hole on top of that block, about 4 inches higher from your leak picture, where the oil cooler seals leak. MB used the wrong ones and were not good for heat resistance. It's a common thing on the om642. When you drive, and when it leaks, you will have oil on the back side of the engine, and it will also look like you have an RMS leak, but you don't. Newer redesigned oil cooler seals are made from viton rubber, which are a lot better with heat dissipation. GL.

Yea i know that oil cooler seals ar problem i did that already because it was leaking on turbo seals
Its leaking from place that a took pictures
Car is returned to costumer

Hello. The only thing in that area that could leak is a crack or one of the joint seals/gaskets is bad. Most likely if you follow the line in the upward and get to the top of the cover, check there and from the top. Not to say that you did a bad job on the seals, but it's been known that sometimes those seals seat improperly and you will have to redo your work. Always good to double check down the road. I know it sucks, but better safe then sorry. GL.
