So it started about two months ago when I broke a taillight. I was grabbing a lawn tool from the corner of the garage where I keep them, next to where the car is parked. Another tool fell and slammed into the taillight and cracked it. I guess i was luck that it wasn't the fender or trunk lid! So $300 later and I have a new taillight. Some road debris knocked out the left front fog light, so I bought a cheap aftermarket pair on Amazon (the right one was getting a bit crusty looking, too).
I've been hearing some brake noise for a while, so I checked them and I need all four corners - including new rotors. Also, both front torque strut control arms had leaked all their fluid out of their bushings. I did the control arms and front brakes this past weekend, but the rear rotors were locked in tight with rust. They've never been removed in 13 years and 90K miles. I'll mess with that later, probably using the trick of bolts through the caliper mount to push them from behind.
So I guess I've spent about $1000 in just over a month. Oh, and I still need front engine mounts. Regardless, it's still worth it!
