Thanks so much for getting back to me. I'll check out Laval.
You're welcome. I brought tje car in the morning and got it back at theend of next day. It's always expensive a transmission job. Bit I really think he is fair and he has great reviews. So I'm satisfied. He's not trying to screw us by changing parts that are not necessary. 👍👍👍

Oh Laval is in QC, I'm looking for someone in Calgary.
When I had TCU failure (Power loss, Transmission failure and take it to the shop message) I took it to Mister Transmission | Transmission and Technology Experts shop. It works well since. Took about a week cause they sent the TCU somewhere to rebuild. It cost me 2000CAD to fix ii in North Vancouver.
So you can check with them (they are chain so have shops in Alberta too).

Edit: I just wanted to say that they also did transmission oil and filter change as they are opening it up anyway. So that goes into the price.

Hi there,
About a week ago I got a message saying "Transmission Service Required". So I changed the Transmission fluid and filter and there was no significant debris. When I took my B200 to the road, it was normal at first however after 10 minutes, I got that earlier message again, and also my shifting was no longer normal and the RPM's would fluctuate a lot. Would anyone now how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance
Vancouverite here with a similar/same problem; can you let me know who you'd suggest?

Thanks!
Hi Chris,
Did ur car fix? I have same problem now. Thanks

I saw this ad yesterday. it might be a consideration for you:

Hi. All included it cost me $800 to repair it in a transmission specialist shop. Including tx and oil and filter at the same time.
At Laval auto transmission
He remove the part inside and had it rebuild. So there is no need to change the entire transmission or PCU.
I got a 2 years warranty.
Very satisfied.
He also repaired my 2008 Lincoln MKX transmission three years ago for $650.
Hi Chassy, Arturo here. I have same problem with transmission. I Have B200. 2011, I'm in Toronto willing to go to the transmission company you used. Do you have the phone of the Shop?
Thank you,

It has been awhile since Chassy posted. Perhaps this place in Dorval could be an option for you:

Thanks a lot, Rushfan1

I didn't need to travel to Montreal, I fixed my car at Mister transmission in Markham, Ontario the service was good and fast. So far car is working amazing.
Thank you everyone
Arturo, that is great to hear. It would be extremely helpful if you could provide as many details as possible in relation to what specifically was wrong, what required replacement, parts, labour cost etc. The more detail, the better, thank you so much.

BenzDreams, Don't get too discouraged with the above posts. It will cost you money, but may not even be close to what was quoted above. It all depends on the issue. If it is an actual problem with the CVT, then it may be costly. But if it a problem with the TCU in the Valve Body of the Transmission, then it can be repaired. In majority of the transmission issues it has been the latter. MB refuses to repair this issue and usually errs on the side of replacing the valve body or entire transmission. This is where the huge bill comes from. If you find a mechanic who is experienced with removing and repairing this. This can be done at a fraction of the cost. Very few mechanics are versed in this repair. There is a guy in Bulgaria who can do it, and he has dropped many messages on this forum. If you get a reputable and knowledgable transmission or MB mechanic to pull the VB and mail it to Bulgaria, he will repair and mail it back for install. This will cost around $600 plus mechanic labour, and possibly delivery. That is of course, if this is your problem. It is an electrical problem that has affected a number of transmissions. Your first step is to find out what type of issue you have. Good Luck.
Company in Quebec that repairs the tcu and they have repaired units in stock -core charge is $300 fyi. Don't tamper with it or they will charge you a non-refundable core. I removed mine after watching a couple youtubers do it -ez -and took my tcu in to Bates Electronics in London, ON he resoldered the broken wires in mine cost me $150 cash fyi
