Hello All,
Working my way through my problem. I am using a ICARSOFT MBII reader and am getting a P0102. I have been searching the forum but cannot find this code? My car is running in limp mode. I have cleared the code but when I restart I am getting the same code.
Can anyone help me figure where to look next?

Thanks
Jim

Find the sensor and with the key/push-to-start button in the on position, measure the voltage at the connector to rule out the wiring. Code P0102 usually indicates low voltage to the MAF sensor.

Check if the sensor itself is dirty.

Another test to determine a faulty MAF sensor is to watch the O2 readout when you give it full throttle; the means you're not getting enough fuel because the MAF sensor isn't able to tell the computer accurate how much air is entering the motor, therefore it can't tell the injectors to add more fuel.

How is the idle? Is it rough? If you are getting power to the sensor pigtail, clean the sensor as best and as carefully as you can and see what happens. If the limp condition goes away and the code does not return, I'd go ahead and get a replacement sensor as cleaning them only gives them a little more service life before they leave you stranded again.

Can you see MAF voltage with your reader? At idle it should be between 0.5-0.8V, and between 4-5V at WOT.

OK been working all morning. I removed the intake cleaned went to replace the manifold and cracked it at the turbo. There was a small tear in the turbo gasket and the plastic manifold is toast. I went out and purchased a new one OUCH it came with 2 new mass airflow sensors and new gaskets so I figured I was good to go.
Test drive and same lack of performance and the check engine is still on. Cleared and retested same thing. I now have a whole list of codes, they may have been there all along, just getting familiar with my code reader.

List of all the codes
P102 Mass Airflow Sensor A Circuit Low
P010c Mass Airflow Sensor B Circuit Low
P0112 Air Temp Sensor Circuit Low
P100 Mass Airflow Circuit A
P010a Mass Airflow Circuit B
P2009 Intake manifold runner circuit low bank A
P0489 EGR control circuit low
P0047 Turbo charge boost circuit low
P2006 Intake manifold runner control bank closed A
P2007 Intake manifold runner control stuck 2A

Ok Most of those codes are showing "Circuit Low" ?? Is this because the car is not getting out of limp mode? I have not been able to clear all the codes with my reader they seem to be just coming back.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi!

I know this is from a while ago but did you ever figure out what was wrong with the car? I have a 2012 E350 diesel with blutech that's displaying this exact same list of codes. Help would be much appreciated!

Circuit low usually indicates a voltage issue.

What's the vehicle voltage when running? Should be above 13.5V ideally. How old is the battery? A deteriorating battery can cause just as many electrical gremlins.

Vehicle voltage will tell us if your generator (alternator) is having issues as well. If the charging system is OK, then it may be time to examine the wiring harnesses closely.

Ok, I will check voltage next. The battery is new last year and the car seems to turnover fine. Although now I remember that my key fob didn’t work just before all this started. I will continue to search next week, till then she’s parked. I will be back.
Thanks for the help
