My 96 C280 has a 2 peice fan shroud and I cannot remove it anyway I tried. Does anyone have any idea how too. I need to replace thE clutch fan and cannot figure out how too.

Hi redwagon,

I also have a 96 c280, and I was able to get the shroud off by lifting the front piece out first and then the back piece. It IS a tight fit though. The fan can rotate a little to let it through, and I found that I was leaning the top of each piece toward the back of the engine a little. Good luck.

clucth fan more better than the electric fan..through my experience of my w202...since i"ve change my electric fan to a clutch fan everything works fine eg. temperatue and air cond cooler than before.
