Left turn signal stuck on solid

Does anyone know what would cause this? If I turn on the emergency flashers, it will unstick and start flashing. Once I turn flashers off, left turn signal will come back on and stay solid, even when the car is off.

I have seen others with this issue on here, but don't know what they did to resolve it.

Can anyone assist me with this issue?

Thanks in advance.

correction.. I went to turn on flashers and the right 2 rear bulbs are flashing and only 1 of the left ones are working. Now my next questions is, the left turn signal inside car on dash and outside car staying on, is that a feature of this car to let you know a bulb is bad? I swapped the bad bulb with one of the ones from the right turn signal and the left side still stayed on after I turned off the engine

I still have this issue. Really annoying... I broke open the combo box 140 820 26 26 in the back fuse box. there is a gold looking box with gold wire that has a spring. The little door is stuck to it. If I pull that little door back with my fingernail, it will start pulsing back and forth flashing the light. Once I let it go, then the transistor(gold thingy) pulls the door back and makes contact and doesn't release it making the left turn light stay on. If I manual close the contact on the other one that is for the right lights, then the left one will start working until I release the contact for the right light, then left stops pulsating and left turn signal is stuck on again.

so just to be clear, a bad bulb will cause my turn signal to stay on even with the key out of the ignition? Is this a Mercedes special feature cause it makes no since at all. I have changed all the bulbs that are staying on with exception of the front corner which I have yet to figure out how to pull the housing out.
Will do so more research, if that doesn't work, I guess I will have to take to the dealer.

Swap your Blinker Relay ,it's probably stuck, most of the times ,that is the obvious fix ,if a single globe is faulty the blinkers would flash faster on the front or back plus it would trigger the cluster light .
Not my picture below ,just to give you an idea where it is .

Open your hood then take the black cover of that covers the ECU's on the passenger side ,underneath you see all the relays or some of them ,turn your blinker on that is working then touch the relay (Pink or blue one ) , then you will know for sure if it is the one or not ,the one that clicks is the one ,you will feel it on your finger.
If you have a 2nd car test that one, that relay should fit the same, it is only the colour that changes ,if you can live with a black coloured relay under there ,the w140 likes to show of it's pretty colours ,lol.
A W140 relay cost's what ? $75 only because its for the prestige 140 ,the same relay in black colour to confuse everyone costs $5 or less from an auto parts store ,end of the day it does exactly the same thing ,make the blinker blink ,lol , all you need to make sure when you go buy one ,take your w140 relay with you then compare them when you buy it ,most cases even the part number on them is exactly the same and check the pin connections order (look at the relay number that's on it).
Behind the cluster all you see is the click click click for the blinker when it is on noise making thing .
My last relay I swaped over from a Holden into my S500 ,perfect fit & function .

Just had a look at that AutohausAZ parts warehouse ,not that bad on pricing : http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pr...800016@Mercedes&modelid=1195398@600SEL&year=1992&cid=relay@relay&gid=3608@Multi Purpose Relay

.Don't buy anything until you have tested another relay 1st
