I did a search on this and didn't find anything, so I'll post it.

If it has already been posted, then maybe it can be combined or deleted.

Some notes- it seems that the digital artist must have seen the specification for a TOW ring on the front bumper, and somehow provided a TOWEL ring.

Surely those are not meant to yank anything out of a ditch.

Also, putting the chainsaw on the roof, along with what is either a kettle or a hard hat, each with what looks the the head and neck of a bird attached, shows a keen grasp of reality of the great outdoors.

Why put the chainsaw in the bed, where you can get to it, when you can put it away up on the roof, without any visible tie downs?

It goes fast enough to 'Blur'.

With the hybrid set up, No More AdBlue !

Now, apparently, they have moved on to AdPurple, and it must have a healthy appetite for it, judging by the barrels in the bed.

I wonder if all of the Purple Glow ( OK, PURPLE HAZE !) indicates that the system has some leaks, and the AdPurple is venting out around the digital studio?

The motion blur makes me think the artist is entranced with the fall guy

Those rings sure are delicate, must be made of unobtanium.

The cab doesn't look all that unimog like, more like an iveco or a sprinter. Without the need for all the liquid to air cooling I would think the cab might evolve into something closer to the Econic with more greenhouse for even more visibility when working.

The "thing" is their Peking crispy roast duck take away, with their demanding schedule of biomass management and all, who has time to spend all day at the shop. Saw on the roof is not the best idea, how are you supposed to climb down with it while maintaining 3 points of contact while also holding the beer?

I came across some press release type stuff, in Spanish, and some in German. I did screen grabs, but did not bother to translate it. In skimming the version in Spanish, the words KAMAZ, Renault, and a couple of other Automotive Firms appeared. Whether they have a hand in this, or it is just babble relating to future vehicles, I don't know. I'll probably get around to posting those grabs up, for the translators.

If I were going to do this, I wouldnt keep the engine in the standard location. There is no need to if it is not driving the transmission and its really not a very good location for it anyway. A flat 4 where the transmission usually sits would be more my thinking.

Keeping it in the standard location limits a lot, but it does not limit the ability to taker something beautiful and make it ugly.

Chevy is apparently about to release a drop-in conversion kit for replacing existing Chevy engines in older/hotrod vehicles with an electric motor and battery. 200HP/266ftlb electric "crate engine" that bolts to the existing transmission and comes with a 60kWh battery tray that looks like it might fit between the Mog frame rails. If you really want an electric Mog and have a 404/406 that might be the place to start a conversion project.

50kwh? That’s nothing!! It takes 100kw to run mine at 55-60 mph; figuring 80% drivetrain efficiency, it would need ~1300 kwh for 800 mile range. That’s 8 tons of Tesla batteries. My drivetrain and fuel weighs ~2.5 metric tons with range up to 1400 miles.
Batteries have to improve by a factor of at least 2.5-3 to make this work (all electric, not hybrid)

I realize that I should have been a little more circumspect with my title for the thread. The way I wrote it seems like it is definitely a UNIMOG planned for the future, which it isn't.

If I had written "Futuristic UNIMOG blah blah Concept", or simply ended the title with a question mark, it would have been more accurate.

Small detail, and I didn't really know what I had stumbled across until I found the articles in English, but it could have been better.
