i need to figure out how to remove the plastic thingy on the back side of the front seat. after you pull it off you see the seat foam

 

If I'm not mistaken, it should be held in by two screws hidden behind circular trim pieces. Pry the trim pieces off, unscrew, and I believe I just pulled upward on the plastic and the whole assembly just slides off.

 

I believed you need to pull it down, there are 2 J hook on the top of back panel.

 

exactly what boca said above. I disassembled the seats to have custom covers stitched about 2 years ago. That rear panel is held by 2 screws; those 2 screws are hidden by two circular trim pieces of same color (of the seat).
