Faulty siren alarm

My alarm has been going off randomly to the point where I had to take the fuse out in the trunk. That has also taken away the ability for me to lock my doors. I’m thinking about replacing the alarm itself which seems like a simple DIY. My question is what is the difference between these alarms and will they both fit ? They’re different shapes

Most likely the second kind. I haven’t seen the first kind in a 211 or it’s not a siren module

Makes little sense to buy used since its life is limited. Spend for a new one, replace the batteries if you know how to solder and your siren board is serviceable, or do what most do and unplug the siren module inside the driver fender. Everything else will work.
