C300 2011 4matic oil change!

I did an oil and filter change yesterday I can only get 6 quarts out using the Mityvac? Then jack up the car loose the oil pan nut no more oil in the pan

?

The manual ref: call for 7.5 quarts. for C300 4matic

Anyone knows where the other 1.5 quarts?

Long story short last time my oil service was at MB dealer, it's possible that they only fill up with 6 quarts instead of 7.5? I did not get any sensor light for low level of oil?

Didn't you check the level before leaving the dealer? I sure would to make sure no over/underfill.

You could also have consumed 0.5 to 1 liter between changes - but yes - dealer could have also slightly under filled . I've had many dealer experiences where they put junior tech on simple oil change and they don't do it right, don't torque bolts and wheel nuts right etc etc

That is why I prefer to DIY simple stuff - save big $$ too

you prob consumed 1 qt of oil b/t changes. that normal.

also the low level may not trigger until 1.5-2 qts. this is from what I have seen.

dealer tech here: I dont fill them up to the full mark anyway. I have seen that this causes oil leaks sooner. I put the level from 1/2 to 3/4 on the sip stick.
