Anybody happen to know if you can bolt the 500E seat pieces to a 124 coupe seat base & retain the tilt function?

thx

Actually the problem is there is no push button back release. So...if you install 500e seats in a coupe, to gain access to the rear seat, you would need to use the electric controls each time, move the seat forward, then move the back rest forward and even then it would be a tight squeeze (for people getting into the back seat).

Not a good idea IMO

I think, but I am not sure that the E500 or 500E seat bases are slightly narrower than the E320 either where they attach to the floor or where the seat base attaches to the seat.

I have often wondered if someone cleaver could swap the seat base and back rest over to the Cab Coupe style and make it work somehow. I would be happy to put up with a seat that does not quite tilt forward all the way.

Didn't bahnstormer install 500E seats in his widebody coupe last year? Could be worth a PM to get details...

they will fit straight in. i had them in the widebody. only thing is the push button as mentioned above and access tot he rear.

my opinion is, however, why bother? the 500e seats are 99% the same as coupe leather seats anyway!

better to fit 190 cozzy seats, or the daddys recaro c, cs or cse/csi

W124 Sedan Seats into a coupe

I have the same question..Can I put w124 sedan front seats in a coupe?? I know moving them for some one to get in out would be an issue but no ever sits in my back seats. I found 2 MINT CONDITION front seats at the junk yard for $50 bucks each to re-upholster one seat in the corner is $200. Please let me know.
