Does anyone know if the fold down seat option can be ADDED to a C280 bought in 1994? I can get my uncle's car which has only 25,xxx miles on it but it would not meet my needs without that option. We did get it on my mom's 1998 C280 Sport - so I know I would not like the car without it. I frequenty put 2x4s and PVC pipes in my 500SEL both cross-wise out the window and up the sunroof, but the SEL is getting worn out. Can it be done with just parts or would it require major surgery?
Thanks in advance.

When you lay the passenger front seat back you can fit 8 foot 2x4's,1x10's,PVC pipe, shingle drip edge, a gable vent louver, etc. in a 1994 C280 w202. Just be careful loading and unloading, use a moving blanket or something else for protection. The trunk can hold a table saw, fold up saw hoarses, 200+ft of extension cords and air hoses, a large selection of hand and power tools. The driver's side back seat will hold a 1.5 hp pancake air compresser and other tools. My 300SD will carry a little more in the trunk. I have come to love the versatility of these Mercedes.

I have a truck but when small jobs come up this is easier and looks pretty good when you pull up to a customer's house in a Benz, set up shop, get the job done, pack up and leave.
