For troubleshooting procedures that follow the codes you should have either the Mercedes WIS software that can be bought from an eBay seller in the U.K. for about $15, or the R129 Tech DVD available from MBUSA for about $88.

Note: The 'R129 Videos' are from 89-90 and one needs to understand that many changes have taken place to the car since it was originaly designed. So use them as a starting point ONLY. If you have a 1990-1993 car you can feel more comfortable using the videos for disassembly.

It is suggested that you save the “disassembly” videos to their own hard disk as these videos may some day be permanently removed from the source. Note: as of 12/1/08 the server is down for these videos.

Not sure, but I was also concerned because I've been searcing for awhile for the disassembly videos but have not been able to find any link that works.

 

Yes, it's a sad day if the German site has permanently gone away.
Or is it just down for repairs. Those old videos gave us a startimg place when disassembling the R129's, etc.

Did anyone download ALL of the German video's for there personal database?
If so, please let me know so we can upload them to an account, like the Owners Manual PDF's site for all to download from.

I have the seat video which I've just uploaded and I may have more on another HDD if I find anymore I'll do the same.

 

If anyone is desperate for these videos there is someone selling them on e-bay UK for 25 pounds as I recall.
