hi every boby
i decided to buy a mercedes benz CL500 model 1998 i like this car but when i make a search in the internet i found the S500 coupe model 1998 and CL500 model 1998 are same form and organization and the same engine !!!
and the S600 coupe modelz 95-99 is same with CL600 models 95-99 !!!
Can any one help me and give me a good informations about what's the different between CL500 and s500 coupe also between the S600 Coupe and CL600 modles 95-99 ? thankyou​

The year of build and the badge Seriously, they are virtually the same.
MB thought of changing the names after introducing the CLK and SLK in 1996.
Which would be the "smaller" versions of the SL roadsters and CL coupes.
That's it.

Same kind of thing MB did when they changed from i.e. 500 SEL to S 500 (lang) in 1993, after introducing the C-class.

 

S500 coupe???

Was really ever a CL with a badge of S on the rear fender?From what i know the coupe models had always the C letter(560sec for example).

 

CL is the coupe version of S. In the old time, they called it S coupe but changed the name to CL since 1998
