Hi
I have a BMW and I was able to go to a website with my vin and get a copy of my build sheet data. It gave date of manufacture, location, dealer it was sent, options etc. Is there a similar site that gives Mercedes info?

Mercedes is protective of a lot of that info. You can send your VIN and proof of ownership to the Mercedes Classic Center and they will get you a copy of your data card. You might also look under your seats, jack plastic cup in the trunk or console (might be more areas, but I forget) and see if the original build sheets are still there. Those can be decoded just like the data card.

If you have the Mercedes Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) then your car is probably new enough to have the info so you can look at it.

Also there are some .ru sites that will do some VIN numbers and give some info. EDIT: here is a link for a page that has some of the sites listed you might find useful. http://www.mercedesmedic.com/decode/

Not sure on the original delivery dealership. I was unable to get anyone through MB to get this for me (granted a '77) until I lucked on a parts person who got the info for me and told me the dealer number and location.
