I don't know about his, but I find it a shame that the plastic trim around the mirror on both of my sun visors (2001 S600 w/24K miles) are cracked and the mirrors fall out if I pull down the visor. The rest of the car is pretty much flawless, so the car was very well maintained before I got earlier this year, but the one thing I didn't look at before buying the car was the visor mirrors. Not that would have made a big difference, but like I said, it's a shame that on a $136K car, the plastic in the visors is crap.

And what's up with the plastics on the dash, i.e. the trim around the headlight switch and the glove box button being "gummy". I've read that goo gone would remove the sticky layer, and it did and I'm happy with the results, but again, why does MB have so many problems with the plastics on the interior of such a nice car?

If you want to DIY there is clear instructions for plastic cover repair at W210. Gummy button can be clean by using 409 and a piece of cloth. Just keep rubbing, the top gummy will come out and the buttons at the driver's wheel will feel like the black buttons at the wood trim.

Yeah, I was able to use a microfiber cloth and some goo gone xtreme spray to remove the gummy crap off all the interior buttons and the trim around the headlight switch. I wish there was an easy solution to replace the mirror trim in the sun visor. I can see spending big bucks to replace the entire sun visor just because of a $20 plastic piece.
