W220 tuning

I would say, look for an S55 AMG, either pre- or post-facelift. You're not going to wring much more out of your M113-50 engine than it's already putting out for you without some very expensive work. Now, if you were talking about, say, an M275 V12TT-equipped W220, then yes, tuning would help due to the forced induction. I think there are also pulley mods and other mods for the S55 AMG (M113K supercharged) engine as well. But for a naturally-aspirated engine, you're really looking at a custom turbo kit or a supercharger kit (e. g. Kleeman's) if you want significantly more power out of your S500.

Dang, that thing is low to the ground! I hope you have WAR's "Low Rider" in your CD changer! :)

I like the sound of turbo V8's, too. But if you really do want to bump up the power in that sweet low-rider of yours, here's the kit you want.

The post-facelift S55 AMG's own factory supercharger is patterned basically off of this one. Then you'll want to get a tune to take advantage of that supercharger (Kleemann does that as well). You may find that you like the sound of supercharged V8's as much as turbocharged ones. ;-)

That's really good, man. I need to have you shop for my cars! :)

In that case, you really want to invest in a STAR Diagnostic System setup to keep that ride of yours in top shape. Just about everything on that car's computerized, and that red cherry you've got there deserves top-level attention.
