Thank you! That is helpful in getting access, but how the hell do people fit the damn things into the openings??? There should be some way to do that!!!

 

Are you sure those are for the W210? That's looks like it belongs on the W140

 

Pretty sure. Mine is a wagon though, but I do not think there was a difference.

 

Suggestion: use the SEARCH feature for this forum. others have commented on their challenges
in the past so I hope tips and solutions have since been incorporated to their threads.

 

Thank you for the tip. I tried that prior to posting this. There is a lot of posts about the sun cover vents, but I have not seen anything about INSTALLING them, except one that does not really give a lot of info.

 

I had my sunshade recovered nicely local upholstery shop for $35.

Ill be darned if I can recall what we did.
I think mine were good to keep & he carefully tucked edge of new cover under each vent.

That was 2 years ago. I read most of those posts & recall that breakage was a concern.....but not sure if theres a satisfying fix or upgrade.

Perhaps a suitable replacement material affixed from side facing up ?

 

i'll keep digging through my notes. I was pretty certain I had some removal/install tips on the vents. I should say the last I recall seeing them was over 10 yrs back though. crossing fingers...
