I was tracking down a newly developed windshield leak, straight leak down passenger side and more recently now coming down from behind rear view mirror. Thinking it was blocked sunroof channel drains, I cleaned them out, tested and drained fine. The leak came back after a recent rainfall.

I went to a glass shop to ask advice, the tech went to passenger side and looked up and he gently pushed on the inside of glass and I saw the passenger side corner of the outside part of the windshield move.

I haven't changed the windshield, it's still OEM installed, they suggested a deterioration of the bond adhesive with possible contamination at time of assembly.

I visited my dealer, initially they said it's out of warranty and I would be on the hook for investigation and repair.

I have a scheduled visit upcoming with the service department at the dealer, they're putting their red seal certified glass tech on it and will try foam and air tests (planned).

Realizing that MB has a recall on older C Class models for roof panels around sunroof assemblies, I'm thinking there's an ongoing issue with MB's bond adhesive they're using during assembly.

Has anyone experienced the same windshield issues as described above?
