Several things can cause cutting out, I'll mention only the most common causes. Providing the car is properly maintained.
Dirty throttle body can cause cutting out at idle and you might also get fault coded relating to manifold pressure .
Worn timing chain is known to cause cutting out and you might get fault codes relating to crank and cam shaft sensor co-relation.

 

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I ve had the Can shaft sensor replaced yet it still cuts out and its been diagnosed and it didn't come back with any fault code.
