Sorry for bumping an old thread.

My car came with the pre facelift amp with 27 pins. The amp is missing in my car.

I have found a facelift map, but the connector is different. It only has 26 pins. I can get the connector for the new amp.

If I rewire it, will it work? What about the missing pin? What does that line go to?

Thank you. So you're saying in facelift cars, the fader is in the radio itself?

On my car, being a pre facelift, the fader is a separate knob, right below the center armrest. The pre facelift amp has 3 pins for the fader. The facelift amp does not.

I guess the fader won't work if I swap in the new amp?

This is what I experienced doing my 2007 GL450. I would call this a Most Amp delete set up. The pocket under holds water so my amp was ruined. The Avin radio I installed surprisingly has enough power to sound decent.

My car has Harmon Kardon speakers so if your has it this may be relevant. For the MOST amp my kit only came with one rca set up so I think that's why the fader dont work. My situation gonna be a different as I did a lot of mods to delete this non sense. Both of the fibers represent rear and front and the adaptor only does one. I used a 6 way rca cable and replaced the amp later on with a nvx 5 channel amp. This crappy you tube vid I made might explain it a bit better. I am sure the info here is some what relevant to other models around the same year.

I made this vid cause to help others. Just not a top notch film maker. Hopefully this helps someone.
