Vacuum line on front of m104

Looks like the EGR vacuum line that would go to the EGR switchover valve. Have you looked at where the other end goes to ?

Do you have any fault codes ?

The valve in front of the red hose tip looks as if someone tried to fix it with a tie-wrap :).

The P0401 code does not exist. It must be P0410 which refers to the secondary air injection system (smog pump, switchover valve). The switchover valve in the picture has an air vent port which for some reason you taped up and tie-wrapped. That may be the reason why the smog pump keeps turning on, as the vacuum is not vented out when the valve is deactivated.

As I mentioned, find out where the other end of the red hose goes to, and if possible, take a picture.

If the car is indeed a 1997, that is correct. The secondary air switchover solenoid valve vent port should only have vacuum very briefly when the solenoid is deactivated to allow the air injection valve to close. I am not sure what the original complaint is (engine issue due to a vacuum leak or the secondary air injection issue), but if it is the latter, then I would check the operation of the solenoid valve, as it may be leaking vacuum which could cause the air injection valve not to open when the air pump is running, hence the P0410 code.

Hello guys, how do I get the diagram of the front cover components, such as the connections of the vacuum system and the electrical connections, since I have a problem not knowing the correct connections after the big maintenance of the M104 engine
