I can send a keygen that works with 2014. What is name of keygen you use? I found "Xentry Developer (1).exe" works fine, though I have several others!!

I presume you are installing for C3 multiplexor. I have written full install instructions to do this on "new" XP laptop.

Installing old version of Xentry is very complicated, with many "fixes" and tricks. Do you know them all?

I enclose my notes which I made while installing 2014 version. Maybe they will help you see where you have a problem.

 

To work on an R230, you just need a C3 MUX, and this:

If anyone interested in 2021 xentry, than can be installed on windows 10 laptop, and using a C4 multiplexor, without using a VM, here are some working links and instructions.

All I can say is it worked for me.

I’ve been running Xentry with a $30 USB - OBD cable I got on eBay. No multiplexer. The correct driver to make it work is MVCI by Xhorse.

 

What was the cable you bought?

Is it a passthrough device?

What car do you use it with?

If it is passthrough, then early cars, like R230 are not 100% compatible with it, as I think they use a K-Line protocol for some diagnostics. I was only able to see a few modules when I tried Xentry passthrough, and had to get a C4 clone and use Xentry X-DOS for full diagnostics.

Later cars, like your E350 used CANBUS diagnostics, which is fully compatible with passthrough devices, like VAS5054.

I thought it would be.

My SL500 does not support Passthrough diagnostics.

I had a passthrough system set up for my SLK350, but it doesn't work on my SL, so had to get a C4 multiplexor and install Xentry X-DOS.

I think most Mercedes from about 2010 support Passthrough diagnostics, before this some do and some don't.
