I have read about removing the fuse for the pump. I will try it and let you know

 

same thing happend to me. I unhooked the negitive battery terminal for a couple minutes put it back on and that fixed it . I did this 2 weeks ago and no problems yet.

 

Pull the 20 amp fuse under the back seat. If memory serves it's the 6th fuse slot from the right. (not all slots have fuses)
I have to do this every couple weeks so I'm thinking there's something else wrong, but this solves the problem for a while and takes 30 seconds.

 

I just tried pulling the 20amp fuse and that did it..It was the only 20amp fuse in the row of yellow fuse holders. Thank you for the help...

 

i tryied to remove the fuse-actually i removed all fuses ans all rellays but it still does not work.
when i close my door and dont slam it all the way i hear air hissing sound around door handle.after i pull the handle either from inside or outside that sound stops but door will not close.i also disconected battery for about 15 minutes .nothing worked.so please can u help ???do i need to dissassemble the door if there is a vacuum tube??does any of u have a picture of door without paneling???that woul help too.thanks a lot .this forum is great and very helpfull

Bohous - sounds like you have a leak. If you can hear air the fuse pull isn't going to cure it. If it was mine I'd pop the inside door panel off and see what you can see when you close the door. I'm betting it will be obvious if you can hear air escaping.

I WENT TO DEALLER AND THEY WANT TO REPLACE THE WHOLE DOOR LOCK WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT ANYTHING.THIS DEALERSHIP IN TYLER TEXAS SUCKS. THE PRICE TO CHANGE IT IS$570 FOR PART AND $538 LABOR PLUS MISC ALLTOGETHER $1181
IT TOOK ME 1 HOUR TO DISASSEMBLE BOTH FROMT DOORS.SO U FIGURE HOW MUCH THE DEALER CHARGES .ITS NOT HARD TO TAKE DOOR PANELS OFF BUT BE CAREFULL TO DISCONECT CABLES FROM DOOR SWITCH FOR WINDOWS MIRRORS ATC.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.I JUST NEED TO FIND MY DOOR ASSYSTANCE ACTUATOR SOMEWHERE ON LINE.DOES ANY OF U KNOW GOOD WEB PAGE FOR BENZ PARTS/....????

these r just pictures of my doors that green dot means nothing its factory mark.
1st pict.shows u the yellow vacuum lines to follow -goes to actuator.the square box is an air-bag
next pict shows the doors actuator connected to those yellow lines
3rd pict shows the actuator with the green dot u r talking about -this part is broken in my car .u can see the white part it supose to lock into the part in front of it with the clear and black round thing.bu my white part has a broken :lock:these parts need to snap together so the soft door would work.
next picture just shows u all the wires u need to disconect-at door panel
last -no coment

I think this just happened to me today. My drivers side door was trying to soft close when I heard a loud thunk and it stopped. Now it hisses when I try to get it to soft close. I'm going try to open the door panel to have a look this weekend.

I've tried to remove the door panel. I'm stuck at the point to remove the wires from the door control module. The small connectors don't seem to come off. How did you do it? Thanks in advance

 

It happen to me today. I was just wondering did anybody get this problem fixed themselves.

 

I trying to fix it myself. There's a taiwanese company that makes a part that can replace the white part. The quality doesn't seem to be that good though. My problem is that the section that the white part connects to is also broken. There's an extra piece I've purchase that might be able hold it down. It involves using screws and cable ties to hold it together. I'm also trying to fit all these together without removing the door lock actuator. I haven't succeeded yet....

 

my rear passenger side at times does not soft close & at the same time that happens window will not roll up or down either from drivers door or rear door switch. I do however hear like the motor wants to engage then stops quickly. any ideas?

Last, toward the top of the main W220 forum there is a section called "stickies." Those are threads that do not move down the page when they age; they always remain "stuck" at the top. One of those stickies is an excellent thread showing videos of removal of various panels. You may have to remove the door panel to get to what is wrong with your lock. The videos will help.

Also in the stickies is a thread called the W220 S-Class Encyclopedia, which contains organized links to the best of our members' contributions to troubleshooting our cars. I hope you find it useful as well. Among other things it contains links to the full Mercedes Electronic Parts Catalog, which carries a free subscription and has exploded parts and assembly diagrams; and information about how to sign up for a 1-day subscription to the Startek information system, the "shop manual" used by Mercedes shops. Your request for "all diagrams" about this car involves a massive amount of information. We are happy to help, but that is a bit much. The links in the Encyclopedia tell you how to get it without seriously inconveniencing our members.

I believe the post titled "Replacing Front Door Lock Actuator" addresses your question, under the "Body" heading of the W220 S-Class Encyclopedia I referred you to.

One problem we may be having is that I don't really understand the latest problem, from your description, or what it is you are trying to accomplish. My understanding is that your door lock pin on the upper part of the door has gotten pulled into the door. If you remove the door panel, per the video I referred you to, you should be able to put the lock back in place.

If you need to remove and replace the entire mechanism, the references provided should help you. The post titled Replacing the Front Door Lock Actuator discusses your problem, as I understand it, beginning with post #22 - and it does discuss removal of the window tracks. Your earlier posts from 2010 show you're pretty familiar with the mechanism.

If, on the other hand you want to disable the soft close mechanism, I suggest you disconnect the vacuum lines to it, and plug them. If you disconnect them and leave them open you will eventually burn out your PSE pump.

 

ok my bad-i need to change the whole lock mechanism-its broken at the bottom of it where the white round thing connects tothe black .
simply told it doesnot suck my door in(soft close).there is a metal bar (guide) for window to slide and its in a way that the lock cannot be rwemoved .so i had to drill out revits to be able to get the lock out-simple as that-but was not sure if it is a must.all the videos here i found is just how to remove interior panel out of door.pictures here are just for rear door which are very well done for the job-but cannot be used for front door lock removal its very different.i will keep looking and will try to post some pictures here so people can see how to do it.but have no pic.yet neithe time.
i dont see reason people to be offendet by writting capitals letters-its even more vissible-but does not hurt me to write this way at all-did not have any idea about forum rules like this-thought just not to say bad words which here is no reason for it -everybody is cool here helping to another.i do not see any slang i have written here it may be because i am not english born speaking person its not my native language,just trying my best with what i know.
