Running wires to fuse box

hello everyone I am retrofitting an electric sunshade I am going to make the harness myself. It is pretty self explanatory. The switch assembly consists of wires.

Green wire goes to sunshade
White wire goes to sunshade also
Blue w/ white strip wire is illumination for switch
Brown is ground
Red w/ black strip is positive

I am going to use new wires and cloth tape like OEM I am pretty sure it will cost less then $125 to make. Now for my issues I need to run wires to the factory front fuse box and my question is where do I attach my positive wire? The ground is easy and illumination is going to be tapped into through window switches. Its easy to run the wires to the sunshade (goes through door sills and between rear seats).

Thanks. I knew the location but I don't know where to run the wire through (how to get the wire into the the fuse box).

If i get irritated with the install I will install the secondary way (install a fuse in the trunk fuse box) But I want to try OEM wiring method first.

can you please elaborate on this harness... I will be putting Vvee12's 600 interior which has a sun blind into my interior which dose not... Anyway, I would like to add it properly and would like this to also be OEM. Can you list the part numbers.

Martin its easier then it sounds. i just tapping into the cigarette harness because its replaceable if I ever want to replace it plus the amperage is spot on. the only hard part is taking the c pillars out because they are fragile (i have a spare set at home now, just incase)

I never said its improper. The factory way is time consuming and the switch contains 5 wires:

Green- goes to sunshade polarity is controlled by switch like window switch
White- goes to sun shade
Blue- dimmer light
Brown- ground terminal
Red- positive terminal

The ash tray has a light bulb which you can hook up the blue wire to the positive lead of the light bulb. Ground location is near the shifter assembly. Positive terminal can be tapped into the positive of the cigarette lighter. It is convenient to hook up the ashtray that is about it, plus i found it works for me.

NHZ,

Yea you are right because you are there. The tangling with the wires of the cigarette jack in a tight spot, and the clearance, so the springy feature of cigarette.Did not appeal to me.

I just found it easier to pull on the inside colored door weather insulation above the passenger threshold. Remove the kick panel. Pull the passenger carpet. Remove the two 10mm plastic nuts to remove the aluminum protective plate, and having power and ground right there all for you liking...

Their are many ways to do this. The proper way is is to populate one of the empty fuse terminals in the trunk using fuse terminals from a junk car, and run a wire from the trunk to the console area through the race-way of wires under the door thresholds...

Take your pick BnZE...

just did this yesterday,

the two wires that power the sun shade run down behind the the rear driver side (us spec.) seat and than run along the door sills and go under the driver-side seat with the other wiring harness. The brown ground is under center wood trim and grouped together with a whole bunch of other grounds... the Blue is also connected under the center wood with a grouping of other light blue wires... the problem is the red wire that runs from the switch under the driverside seat and along the driver side door to the front of the car (to the fuse box)... I followed it to the fire wall but I cut it there as following it any further would require hours of dissassembly and like you you guys, Im going to opt for another power source closer to the center arm rest and put in my own fuse... Although the car that I took it off of had continuous power to the rear shade.
