The Bosch fuel pump that was on my '71 280 SEL when I bought turns out is not exactly showing as the best replacement model for this car Bosch

After researching I bought this one (Bosch 0 580 464 069). The pump comes with two check valves it appears, one installed and one extra. Do I just fit the outlet fuel hose over the check valve when I install the new one?
Here are pics of the new and the existing set-up on the car.
Any advice will be appreciated!
