Hi,

I'd suggest purchasing the SDS before you really, actually need it, that way you can learn to use it on a good running Car and get to know the basics, then when it throws a real pig of a fault code, you will be well armed to sort it :wink

I can almost guarantee that if you own a Post 2000 MY MB for 1 - 2 years it will pay for itself time and again, and that will even apply if you do not actually work on the Car yourself, because if you have had it on SDS you will at least know where the problem lies, and thus be able to avoid the Garages that just simply fit new parts until it is fixed......... or not :frown

BTW, do not get tempted into buying any other, cheaper, lesser machine, it's like a cheap Le-Mans Ticket, you simply cannot access all areas :wink

HTH,

Cheers Dave

Hi,

If the Radiator is in otherwise good condition, it is easy to rectify those broken bolts, carefully knock the broken bolt / threaded insert through the plastic a little and hook it out, then use M6 Square "Guttering" Nuts in the recess and new Bolts, IIRC I had to buff 2 sides of the Square Nuts so they ended up oblong.

Use Copperslip on the threads when you re assemble then they will come undon next time instead of shearing off ;)

Regarding the ABC Pump, a little end float is OK, you just don't want up & down / side to side wobble on the pulley :wink

If it ain't broke don't fix it ;)

HTH,

Cheers Dave

Nice looking car that ;)

Hi,

Also also also :grin ...................

Get it with Developer Mode enabled, once again, you can do more without needing MB Server Subscription ;)

Cheers Dave

:big laugh:

Remember you can seriously FUBAR your Car with Developer Mode, don't play with that until you are familiar with what it does ;)

The rest of it, (Coding fiddling etc), can all be reversed if you get it wrong :wink

Cheers Dave
