Ok. Figured it out and got it done. I might have just overseen video 3-4 and missed it. Dont know how that happened. So what u gotta do is this as follows.......
Remove glove compartment box lining by removing 4 black push button lock clips. Remove dash speaker grill, remove passenger air ducting and along the bottom of glove box which is the top part of lower panel. There is 4 long silver screws with 8mm head on them. U remove all 4 screws. And 2 screws on the bottom part of panel by Ur feet which r also 8mm screws. And panel will come off. Hope this helps anybody who needs to remove lower panel for what ever reason. ?.
Cheers! Have a great day y'all!! ?

Hey buddy! You are entering no-man's-land?

Hey Buddy!

You are entering no-man's-land? This is one of those things people dump a car for? Not many DIY's on the subject.

I'm back in NorCal permanently fixing my own problems, and I have never taken one W140 apart to get to the evaporator, but I do remember a thread years ago, and here is the thread:

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w14...forums/w140-s-class/1650704-diy-ac-evaporator-replacement-official-picture.html

I found this too:

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w14...rums/w140-s-class/1679779-videos-complete-removal-dashboard-center-console.html

The search words here were " evaporator dash"

I hope it helps! Best of luck my friend as I'm in the gutter too chasing a ASR issue on SL500...
