To cut story SLK350 build 10/2005 we have issue with modules communications. Non of the scanner from $30 up to $5000 can read Engine, Gearbox, ESP, ESM.
I was talking with friends and also MB technician and they told me it will be faulty CGW. They provide part number A1695406945 and it is shows on internet. To confirm correct part NR I try to located CGW. After 2h of browsing internet I found bracket for module but module is not there. I was reading module should be close to OBD port and under dash panel is design to have this module.
Funny parts all scanner reading this module and they showing is OK and some scanners showing faulty 9065 and 9068 Implausible CAN messages from control module CGW.
It is possible this in this model GTW is part of another computer or module ???
