Hello fellow 107 lovers. Please help me on this but don'

t ask too many questions WHY...

That WHAT is I need help with fuel distributor (and air handler) install onto an 82 380SL.

I did NOT take as great of pictures as I thought I did of the back (firewall) side of the setup before I took it off, because I am an idiot. So I have some questions on how to re-install the fittings on the back side and where the valves, and in what order.

In fact I kindof have 2 banjo fittings but only 1 place to put them... I am attaching pics of my loose and need to be installed setup here for reference.

I think some good angles of the backend of the fuel distributor from an 82 or really any 81-85 380SL would be a big help.

Its just laying in there so I can move stuff around easily. I think the one fuel pressure damper is supposed to go below the back "bar" throttle actuator piece, but where is the second supposed to go?

Do all 380SLs have two? Or only 85s? I cant seem to find much documentation on it. Again, I am idiot enough to clone a good picture, so anyone who can just send me some good angles of theirs would probably allow me to get out of this bind.

Side question: Do the fuel pressure dampers (NOT a fuel pressure regulator of course) have a tendency to go bad?

Not sure you will see this, too funny I just ran into this same issue. I inherited the car with the fuel distributor CIS system removed. So I have a replacement system and noticed an additional banjo upon installing- it appears that the vehicle the distributor came from had a pressure regulator near the firewall that I am guessing is for another model? seems that this would not be required on the 380SL? Am I correct in your statement, because I don't see vacuum lines either? Thanks if you do see the post again.

My engine doesn't look like what it did when those pictures were posted... here's what it looks like now. There is a pressure regulator in the back of the engine and it does connect via a banjo connector.

Red arrow points to the regulator.
Blue arrow points to the line with the banjo connector on the end that goes to the FD.

This may be a little difficult to picture at first... give it a minute...

This first picture shows the locations of what I'm calling Regulator 1 and Regulator 2

This next picture shows a closeup of Regulator 1.
It shows the location of the vacuum line that goes to regulator 2.

This next picture shows the vacuum line "T" connector that attaches to regulator 2. The regulator is just labeled 2 for simplicity (and lack of room).
It also shows the path of vacuum line that comes from regulator 1 but it is hidden beneath some bracketry so all you see in the photo is the direction the line enters to "T" from.
Sorry, it's the best I could do in the tight space of the photo.

This next photo shows the end of the vacuum line that comes from the "T" located on regulator 2.
This line is what connects to the air filter housing via a large rubber tube (not shown)

If you need further information or better photo's let me know.

Sorry, but your setup doesn't look like mine. I have an '83 380sl.
I don't have two banjo connectors on my FD at that location... I only have 1.
The thing you called an electronic sensor is actually the frequency valve and on my setup the fuel line on the front of the frequency valve connects to the side fitting on the rear pressure regulator.
The banjo connector on the lower of the left side of the FD connects to the rear pressure regulator front end connector (the side opposite the vacuum line T).
I'll try to get you a picture but for some reason my PhotoShop decided not to work for the first time in at least 6 years. Grrrr!
