Hi,
The glow plug relay is located in that place shown . It's hard to see under the fuel pipes and egr.
The relay is mounted under the intake plastic case.To get access to it, you should take off the egr, the large aluminium case.
Can you tell me what error do you have?

 

 

Thanks Adrian I did manage to locate it and replaced it. I was having a caution mark appears smultaneously with the engine light and at that moment it loses power I have to switch off the engine and restart the car then only the engine light appears back and I regain my engine power.

After replacing I am still experiencing the same problem and I am getting advice to reset the car , how far true could this be. That glow plug stage controller was picked up to be faulty.
Please assist.....

Hi Machismo,
First of all, if you have the same problems after you changed the relay you should use a tester ( Delphi or Mercedes dedicated STAR ) to read the erors codes. At this point I can't help you.
Try to read the errors code and post here to help you. After you read the errors try to clean them and see if the engine light come on again.
I'm curious how hard it was to change the relay? You had to take off the large aluminium piece from egr?

Thanks once again Adrian for more info , I am working on taking it through to the tester , will give feedback then. Adrian if I can tell you I did everything from underneath with some challenges but hey could not go through stripping the manifold and all that junk on top....?
