Good afternoon,
I bought a new 2024 GLA 200 about a year ago. This version already comes with a Mild Hybrid electric motor to support the gasoline engine.
When driving, I hear a low-pitched whistling/fan noise that gets louder as I drive, especially when I accelerate, but it can also be heard without my foot on the accelerator. This sound is audible almost all the time while driving. I confess that no matter how low the volume, it becomes a little annoying, so much so that I turn on the radio to distract myself from it.
Could someone tell me if they have ever experienced this sound and if it has anything to do with the electric motor or another component of the engine or the car in general?
I'm not sure if it's normal for this car model or if it could be a possible problem that needs to be investigated.
Thank you.
