My 1999 S430 project car was recently returned to the road and the ESP and ABS lights came on immediately.
When I clear spurious old codes and drive the car again Star shows this:
When I use live data the right front wheel speed stays at zero all the time never budges
There was a new wheel bearing kit installed to right front about a year ago. Car was never on the road with me before or after that.
Tonight after verifying the Star data above I installed a new Fuel Pumps UK ABS sensor on the front right. (Whilst aftermarket Fuel Pumps UK makes good parts never had an issue myself)
I cleared all codes prior to installing the new sensor, set off again down the road and same thing again immediate ABS and ESP fault codes.
Kind of feels like a total break in a wire harness or ECU?
Any tips on where I should go next? I have access to w220 parts cars not too far away also.
Pegged at 0.0 is something I've not seen before on a bad ABS sensor. I've seen them quiver and wonder on live data and throw the code but this one is quite stubborn! At least it's not intermittent
