Does anyone know what would cause the suspension to squeak or creak from going over bumps (car bouncing) as well as from turning the wheel while car is parked? This occurs only on the front right suspension. The sound became worse after a 1330 mile trip. Car handled the trip flawlessly besides this issue.
The sound from inside the vehicle is like a old door creaking, or bed springs creaking. From outside it sounds like that as well, with the added clanking sounds the brake dust shield makes.
I have uploaded a video (sorry it was night time) of me pushing the front end down to record the sound of the suspension. As you can hear it isn't a good sound, and is pretty audible. I have taken the wheel off during the day to check and I can't seem to find anything wrong except a worn boot from the sway bar link (top boot seems torn, but I don't think sway bar link could make this much sound?). Bushings on control arm look okay, hard to tell while mounted. Ball joint looks normal. Shock absorber does have signs of oily residue (the other 3 also looks the same, but not making the same sound). Maybe coil spring? Couldn't see any obvious wear on the springs. I have H&R springs in the front from 2004. Previous owner installed them to lower the car, I do not have originals.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I would be doing replacement of all four shocks next month as well as steering dampener, I would also like to fix this issue
