2004 E320. Have had the car for a year now, and still trying to figure out what modifications have been done to the car by previous owners (it sold at a police auction at one point). Car has some different looking front bumper on it, maybe a sport package? Or taken from an e55? Its got vents on the sides and these weird fog lights that I can't find part numbers for on EPC.
Anyways, one of the fog light housings is broken, and I was looking into changing to an LED setup. I did not realize until today, but apparently the fog lights on the car are HIDs.
3 questions regarding the fog lights: 1. Are HID fog lights a normal option on this car? Are they most likely aftermarket? The housing is perfectly circular 3.5 inch lenses, have not seen another w211 with similar fog lights.
2. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the fog lights? Can not find anything on WIS/ASRA. There seems to be 2 different fog light modes, but the second foglight mode does not change anything with the lights I have now.
3. Is it possible to just cut off the ballast and wire the new foglights to the connection for the ballast?
