Dreaded evaporator replacement

Are you going to replace or pressure test the heater core at the same time?
A list of all the parts you replace would be appreciated. I'll bet there are some we wouldn't think of going into the job.
Watching with interest.

If I might make one small suggestion. Pull your front carpets completely out. You have nothing left holding in your passenger carpet, and you probably only have the nuts for the accelerator pedal holding in your driver's carpet. That way you won't be fighting them every time you try to do something in the center tunnel area. They come out remarkably easy.

I vacuum tested the old evaporator which honestly looks fine, I will post a few pictures of it. It holds good vacuum so is fine. I thought the issue with these was corrosion holes causing failure?
Corrosion from dissimilar metals being used in their construction. Very dumb thing to do. The problem is that it might be okay today, but 6 months from now, who knows? I wouldn't want to go through all that again.
