The lock pawl should be the item that connects to that hose. The big yellow decal sticker is on the spring.
The strut assembly on the other side has a roll bar and a lock pawl cylinder with hoses. Google search top hydraulics r230 cylinder diagram.

You should see 103 on the other end of the hose at the hydraulic pump valve bock connection. Numbers are stamped into the valve block line connector plate.

You have something going on there. I just had both lock paws rebuilt and still have all the interior paneling out so I took a picture of what it should look like. It looks like the locking spring is pried out. This may have been done to defeat the lock paw. Alos I see some yellow paint maker on the lock assembly. That probably indicates the unit was bought from a salvage yard and installed in your car. If that hose actually broke you would have a huge amount of hydraulic fluid in the area. I would check the other end of the hose at the pump, I bet it's been blocked off at the pump somehow.

The hydraulic cylinder to raise and lower the roll bar is on the passenger (right side) in the US.
